Peregian Springs and Peregian Breeze are two housing estates that sit within the 4573 postcode on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland, Australia.
The first sod was turned on Peregian Springs way back in 1999. The final blocks of land are expected to be sold by 2021 with the estate to have an estimated population of more than 10,000 people.
Peregian Springs started out as a private golf course estate (see www.peregiansprings.com.au).
The golf course continues to operate today, as a public course, under the management of GSM Golf and the name, Peregian Golf (www.peregiangolf.com.au).
The estate itself has a mix of gated and body-corporate bound communities with The Ridges being the biggest group of body corporates in the area.
Residents of properties in The Ridges area of the estate have access to the Recreation Club with its pool, gym and tennis courts.
Peregian Springs is serviced commercially by a large Coles supermarket and a regional shopping centre featuring a Burrito Bar, Peregian Fish and Chips, Brown Rice Sunshine, Peregian News Newsagency, a chemist, doctors, butcher, physiotherapist, café, Jetts Gym, a vet, fashion shop and a hairdresser, Kindred Hair (www.peregianspringsshoppingcentre.com.au).
Peregian Breeze is another housing estate built on the eastern side of the Sunshine Coast Motorway on the site of an old horse racing track.
The estate is less than 10 years old and has a mix of duplex and stand alone housing options, a childcare centre, large park, and a small retail complex offering takeaway food and coffee and groceries from the team at Goldies Grocers (www.peregianbreeze.com.au).
Both estates are about five minutes’ drive to the nearest beaches and are well serviced by local schools including Peregian Beach College, Coolum State High School, Peregian Springs State School and St Andrew’s Anglican College.
